Becoming a naturopathic doctor (ND) requires extensive education, clinical experience, and ongoing training:
3–4 years of undergraduate study with a strong focus on health and science prerequisites
Naturopathic Medical Program
A four-year, full-time degree at an accredited naturopathic college with two years of medical sciences and diagnosis and two years of naturopathic principles, therapeutics, and extensive supervised clinical practice working with patients in the community
Graduates must pass two rigorous board exams, plus a provincial licensing exam to practice in Manitoba
NDs continue to deepen their expertise through specialized training in therapies such as IV therapy, acupuncture, and continuing professional education
